A central theme across the Summit was the meaningful integration of lived experience experts in global mental health. Sessions and symposia highlighted the importance of co-production, peer support, and shifting power structures to centre the voices of people with lived experience in research, policy, service design, and global decision-making.

We were able to finance 27 attendees and presenters with lived experience from Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Botswana, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Madagascar, Pakistan, India, Denmark, Bulgaria, United States, in the Summit.

75% of the moderators of the oral presentations were experts by experience from aves Mental Health.
